Brad Maule (b. 1951) is an actor, singer, and songwriter from Rotan, Texas.
Maule graduated cum laude from Stephen F. Austin University with a BFA in theater, but his earliest success came from writing and performing original songs. He sang backup vocals for prominent artists such as Bob Gentry and Jim Nabors. In 1980 and 1981, Maule recorded with legendary Norman Petty at his studio in Clovis. In 1984, he was cast as Dr. Tony Jones in the hit TV series, General Hospital. His character was intended for one season, but adoring fans rallied letters of support, making Maule a series regular until 2000. Dr. Jones was a recurring character from 2000-2006, earning Maule two Daytime Emmy Award nominations. He also appeared in TV shows such as Three’s Company (1981), Too Close for Comfort (1982), and Charlie’s Angels (1980-81). In the 1990s, Maule released two albums, Livin’ It Up (1991) and Chameleon (1993). More recently, he’s acted in the films A Year from Now (2021) and House of Glass (2021). He is currently a professor of acting and film at his alma mater, Stephen F. Austin University.
Brad Maule was inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame in 2002.
