The program and album highlight local artists who are performing and writing original music in our region. The deadline for song submissions for the 2026 “Lubbock Music NOW” album is June 30, 2025.

Civic Lubbock, Inc., is inviting the public to attend a ribbon-cutting and reception on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. for the new public art installation, the Friendly Cowboy Western String Band. The sculptures, by artist B.C. Gilbert, are located at Mac Davis Lane and Avenue O (north of the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center)

We hope you will join us on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 7:00pm in the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center Theatre as we induct Gerald Dolter, Tina Fuentes, Steve Meador and James Watkins into the West Texas Walk of Fame.
